Fun Finding Fiesta!!!

One of my Fiesta Cabinets

I grew up in Ohio near West Virginia so I was vaguely aware of the bright solid color dinnerware that we all know and love. In my 30's I got an antique china closet and wanted to put something bright on top. I found a teapot and some other pieces at a yard sale of what I thought was old fiesta dinnerware (turns out it was post-86 production). After a lot of research and a little disappointment, I started collecting the "real" old stuff and sold the newer stuff I had found. It is a hobby that I cannot give up! I have met so many great people.....and the next great find is right around the corner. I have also mixed in other pieces of Homer Laughlin solid color dinnerware just because I thought they were cool...and after all, it's supposed to mix and match!

Love your collection of Fiesta

Thanks for sharing your story and your pictures Kim. I absolutely love your collection of Fiesta. It is mix and match dinnerware and it looks lovely in your cabinet. Collecting vintage and antique dinnerware is tons of fun, especially when you find the pieces that you are looking for.
