Ambiance Dinnerware

When people talk about Ambiance Dinnerware, most likely they are referring to the dinnerware patterns made by Ambiance Collections LLC - previously known as Ambiance by Romancing Provence Collections LLC.  

On the other hand, the Portmeirion brand of dinnerware makes available a dinnerware collection known as Ambiance.  It is simple, but classy in any setting. 

Back in 2009, Ambiance Collections LLC was forced into bankruptcy liquidation, but I haven't run across the results from that. I assume that the line of Ambiance Collection's dinnerware has been retired, although it might have been acquired by another company.  I am unclear about that and I haven't been able to find any information about the outcome.

Portmeirion Ambiance Dinnerware: Currently in Production

Portmeirion is a brand of dinnerware made available by Portmeirion Group PLC which is a British company with a United States based subsidiary known as Portmerion USA, Inc.  They carry a line of Ambiance dinnerware that is beautiful and very practical.

This dinnerware is currently in production.  It includes porcelain dinnerware, glassware, and wooden tabletop items.  The shape of the dishes in this Ambiance collection is very unique and the color selections are amazing for mix and match ideas.

The patterns include:

• Ambiance Aqua
• Ambiance Linen
• Ambiance Pearl
• Ambiance Stone

All of these patterns can be interchanged for artistic settings.  Entertaining sets mimic the shape of the dinnerware pieces featuring glass bowls and wood for a wonderfully created table setting. 

I really like the Portmerion Ambiance patterns.  In fact, I am considering mixing and matching the Linen pattern with the Pearl pattern for my next set of dinnerware.  We love white porcelain dishes and the color touches in the Linen pattern are just right.

Vintage Ambiance Dinnerware: Retired Patterns

Dinnerware by Ambiance Collections LLC includes practical dinnerware sets such as Ambiance Sunburst which is a gorgeous, brown ceramic set of dinnerware. The Ambiance Colonade pattern is also admired along with the Ambiance Palette Maize and the Ambiance Palette Paprika.  I really like the Ambiance Collections Georgina patterns of hand-decorated crystal. The pieces are simply stunning.

I'm unsure about the continued production of this unique line of dinnerware, but it is still out there if you know where to look. Several retailers carry it. You might check out internet auctions and of course, the replacement companies that specialize in proving replacement pieces for dinnerware sets.  Last time I looked, Replacements, LTD had a lot of the patterns by Ambiance.
