White Dishes

White Dishes - Culinary Arts Dinnerware

I am very partial to white dishes. To me, they are preferable when it comes to back dropping delicious looking food and they are very flexible in table settings. White dinnerware can be used for holidays as well by simply adding table accessories to set the theme of the décor.

White dinnerware sets are perfect for a casual dinnerware set, but I prefer white porcelain dinnerware because of its strength and easy-care characteristics. It is easily adaptable to be used as everyday dinnerware as a casual set or for fine dining by simply dressing up the table.

White Dishes - White Porcelain Dinnerware

There are many types and styles of white dinnerware, from traditional shapes to modern forms. They are available in casual dinnerware sets and fine china.

White Dishes - New Wave by Villeroy and Boch

My favorite casual set has to be the Mikasa Italian Countryside pattern, but I'm also amazed by the creativity in the New Wave and New Cottage line of dinnerware by Villeroy and Boch. I'm more likely to go for the porcelain sets because of the durability of the dishes and the ease of clean up that they present.

My fascination with white dishes is obvious because I collect milk glass and have for years. I have some pretty original pieces that I often use for serving or for decorating.

I also have a set of white porcelain dishes that my mother got for me at an estate sale. They are the Centura pattern by Corning. They are just plain white porcelain dishes that we use for everyday dinnerware and I simply love them.

If you are looking for dishes that beautiful, practical and versatile, white dinnerware is an excellent choice.
