Portmeirion Dinnerware

Portmeirion Dinnerware - Crazy Daisy Portmeirion dinnerware comes from the inspiration and talent of Susan Williams-Ellis, a legendary pottery designer, who founded the company along with her husband in 1960.

Susan's vision was to design and manufacture everyday dinnerware that was both functional and affordable. The result was awesome lines of casual dinnerware sets that are really trend-setting.

I particularly like the choices of dinnerware patterns which often include original floral patterns. Since the company has been around since in 1960, you can often find Portmeirion vintage dinnerware.

Current dinnerware patterns include:

Portmeirion Dinnerware - Botanic Garden
  • Botanic Blue
  • Botanic Garden
  • Crazy Daisy
  • Eden
  • Pomona
  • Sophie Conran
  • The Holly & The Ivy
  • The Snowman
  • The Very Hungry Caterpillar

I really like the holiday dinnerware made by Portmeirion. It is called Christmas Story.

Susan Williams-Ellis passed away in 2007, but her legacy goes on through her company and the vast lines of dinnerware and other household products that she designed in her lifetime.

This dinnerware is lively, practical, and beautiful. I have heard it referred to as English dinnerware, although Portmeirion is a village in North Wales. The dinnerware has been recognized worldwide and is a preferred line of many dinnerware collectors. Personally, I think it is gorgeous.
