Green Willow by Royal China

by Brenda

I have a 12 place settings of the willow pattern by Royal China in the green color and the creamer/sugar bowl, tea pot, serving plates. I'm not able to even pull up a picture or information on this pattern and I understand it is or was a very rare pattern in the green. The stamp on the back says: Willow Ware by Royal China underglazed K52. My grandmother in the early 80's was offered $1000.00 for the set. Not willing to sell, just wondering the worth. Thank you.

Hi Brenda. Thanks for writing in. I'm sure your green Willow Ware looks beautiful as a table setting. Green Willow-ware is fairly rare, unlike the ever popular Blue Willow pattern.

I would range the prices for the pieces in the 12 place settings from $7 to $15 a piece. The serving accessories are worth more. I've seen teapots, cream and sugar sets, serving platters and vegetable bowls listed from $30 to $120 per piece. A thousand dollars is a fair deal, but I'm a lot like you, I would keep it. Green Willow is rare, but having a full set is even rarer.

Royal China Company operated in Sebring, Ohio for many years. You can learn more about them through the Sebring Ohio Historical Society.

Hope you find this of interest. Enjoy your rare set of Willow Ware. It's a beautiful pattern!
