Have you heard of the Dinnerware Depot?

Of course I have heard of Dinnerware Depot. Any dish lover that browses the internet probably has. They have managed to top the charts in the search engines.

From what I understand, this website represents a dinnerware warehouse store located in Sarasota, Florida. They carry multiple brands of dinnerware including casual dinnerware sets and fine china dinnerware. They have even developed several specialty sites for various brands, holiday dinnerware, English dinnerware, and so on.

From my perspective, they have done a good job in conquering the web in the dinnerware industry. I love to browse their site to look for particular patterns because they cover so many; however, as with any internet distributor, I would read customer reviews before buying from them.

In reading customer reviews, I have run across several bad reviews, mostly in relation to backorders and communication about things being backordered. That creates some hesitancy on my part because if you tie up your money on backordered items, there stands a chance that you won't get the items that you ordered leaving you with an incomplete set.

I would like to hear more about the customer service from this company. The reviews that I read didn't say anything about how the company handled the backorders. Were the items eventually received? Was a refund given upon request?

These are questions that need to be answered before I decide to put my money on the line. I do realize that bad reviews can come from one dissatisfied customer or even from a disgruntled employee or a competitor. I would really like to hear more from customers of this website.
